Gradius III (SNES) Cheats

Easily Beat The Final Boss – The Final Boss, Bacterion, will die regardless of whether you attack it or not. Just dodge his blasts, and in fifteen or so seconds, he will spontaneously die. Even cheaper, park your ship in the bottom center of the screen, and the shots can’t aim towards you!

Secret Bonus Stage – There is a bonus stage located in the game. It is located in Level 2. When you fly into the section that is lined with the blue bubbles, look for a hole in the bottom and go in it.

Extended Demo Mode – Continue to hold A through the initial demo, and you’ll see the entire first stage including the boss.

Full Power Up w/o using the code – Choose “speed down” for the “!” option in the weapon select screen, if you can get enough power ups to highlight the last weapon, which will not be visible, and using it without powering up on speed up, you will get all four options, missiles, and the shield. But if you have the laser already, it will be taken away.

Gradius III Snes9X Codes

If you are playing Gradius III on Snes9x (Or another SNES emulator which supports cheat codes) there are a ton of cheat codes you can use. You can basically use any of the codes listed under the Action replay codes + Game Genie Codes sections, you simply need to enter the required code as per below.

To active the cheat code you want launch the Snes9x application and load your game, Then click on the cheat menu > “Game Genie, Pro-Action Replay Codes”

On the next screen enter the cheat code in “Enter Cheat Code” field, Then add a description and click on add then click ok to close this screen. The cheat code will now be activated, please note with some codes need you to reset the game for the code to activate.

• 10,000 Bonus Points

Get six powerups so that the question mark box is selected. Then, when the thousands digit of your score is a five, get a seventh powerup and you will get 10,000 bonus points.

• 30 lives, player one

At the title screen, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start.

• 30 lives, player two

At the title screen, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select, Start.

• Continue playing

Quickly press Down, Up, B, A, B, A, B, A, B, A after you've lost your last ship.

• Full power-up

While playing, pause then press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start.

• Warp to level 3 after defeating Core Fighter

In level 1, when the thousands digit of your score is even, destroy 4 hatches.

• Warp to level 4

Destroy Xaerous Core at end of level 2 within 2 seconds of its core turning blue.

• Warp to level 5 after beating level

Destroy 10 stone heads in level 3.
