I am the second owner of this wonderful sacd.
Some one marks on the top plate from the previous owner also very small mark on front face plate. Otherwise beautiful condition.
Operationally excellent.

These have been used very lightly on a desktop only. I have decided to sell as I am looking to buy some closed back headphones instead. They are in excellent near new condition and includes original box and manual.

RTR EXP-8v Speakers. Made in the USA late 70s.
Solid sealed box speakers with a balanced, slightly punchy sound.
Not much info out there it seems, so quite rare. RTR were a leading US speaker manufacture and one of the earliest adopters of electrostatics.
2-way, acoustic suspension speakers with 8” paper driver, 4.5” tweeter(dome I think).
10.1 kg each

490 tall x 230 deep x 285 wide, in mm.
Working condition is excellent – strong clear sound. The tweeter attenuators could do with a clean as can make noise when adjusted. One speaker clip is missing but still accepts bare wire.
I haven’t taken the drivers out as they look original/mint and don’t want to disrupt. I think they've had an easy life.
Boxes have edges that need TLC, and the odd scratch. Grilles are excellent and fit snugly. Please view photos.

The second half of the music sessions will be our popular BYO. Members and guests are welcome to offer music to share with us all. So bring along your favourite music on CD, USB thumb/flash drives or vinyl. All we ask is that the music and recordings be interesting. We'll ask you to tell us a little about the artist/recording before it is played. Tracks over 6 minutes will be faded out, to give everyone a fair go.
Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, you will have the opportunity to listen, learn and share your experiences with others. Feel free to come and hear the capabilities of the system, or to just share the experience with like-minded music lovers in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Guests are welcome – we are a very friendly club so you don't need to know anyone to join us for an afternoon of great music and sound.
