I've installed the new Divide and Conquer and I'm loving it. Game runs smoothly and graphics in campaign and battle are great but I have regular crashes. As the rest of the game runs smoothly I don't think it's an issue with my computer. I've had a quick look online and it seems that this can be often related to a particular time or faction when crashes occur but it seems really random. It can be 5 mins in or 2 hours in. I followed the installation steps to the letter so not sure what it could be. Any ideas?

Hi guys, I have the following problem; everytime my Hastati Principes or other Javelin units throw their pila/Javelins the game crashes, similar to the (Now fixed) Axe throwing bug in The third Age: Total War. I have the Steamversion of MTW2 as well as the graphic enhancement mini mod. Asides from that the game works fine and looks great.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my original post. I was already running this game in compatibility mode for XP SP3. This game only runs on 32 bit machines, and I converted to a 64 bit OS sometime around Win 7. The only way to run this game on a 64 bit OS is to run in XP SP3 compatibility mode.

However, I guess I should have reported that I tried the troubleshooter and it failed. It says 'Test the Program'. I push that button and the security pop up window appears and says 'Do you want this unknown app to make changes on your computer' (exactly the same pop up window as when I try to start it normally.). After clicking 'yes' the pop up window disappears - and nothing happens. Game doesn't start. There doesn't seem to be any kind of log file to let me know what really happened, but it appears that there is no attempt to actually start the exe file. In other words, there is no indication (not in task manager either) that the exe has been started and then fails/crashes, it appears that the exe is never started in the first place.
